As a member of Danish Film Directors you get several advantages such as contract negotiation, guidance to your unemployment fund, favourable casualty insurance, and social events such as the annual Champagne Celebration.
Danish Film Directors assist you in different case processing such as contract negotiation and guidance to your unemployment fund etc. Furthermore, we handle your director- and script interests at collective bargaining meetings within national and foreign pressure groups.
It is possible to borrow the meeting room and computer and printing facilities at Danish Film Directors’ general office. Several times a year, we host member events concerning relevant film issues. Also, we arrange meetings with our members and foreign directors. Annually, we host the Champagne Celebration where we celebrate those directors who had cinema premiers of their films within the past year. We regularly keep our members updated through newsletters, emails and the members’ journal Take.

It is possible for documentary film makers to receive a press pass through Danish Film Directors. You can retrieve an application form at the general office and the press pass is issued by The Collective Committee of Danish Press Organizations. The prize is 500 kroner of which 400 kroner is a deposit. The press pass is valid for 3 years.
You can renew your press pass at the cost of 100 kroner. Print and fill out the application form below and send it to Danish Film Directors for approval. There must be counted with a turnaround time of approximately 14 days. Ansøgningsskema til fornyelse af pressekort (pdf-format)
Membership with Danish Film Directors is applied for through our executive committee. See “Would you like to become a member”
The membership fee is 1094,50 kroner for A-members (active members) and 221,00 kroner for student members. It is possible to pay a reduced membership fee if you are an R-member (Members who mainly function as producers, but still have rights for works of film.)
