The 12th Nordic Co-production and Finance Market - call for projects

NEW NORDIC FILMS, CO-PRODUCTION AND FINANCE MARKET 

HAUGESUND, 22 – 25 August 2017

The 12th Nordic Co-production and Finance Market will be arranged 23 - 24 August as a part of the Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund. 

For producers looking for either a Nordic co-producer, co-financing in one of the Nordic countries or to shoot in one of the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway or Sweden, this is a great opportunity to meet and present your film project the Nordic film industry.

We select 15-20 film projects to take part in our market. If chosen, we will offer accommodation and accreditation. Each selected project will be presented in 7-minutes pitches, and we will arranges one to one meetings for each project. There will be roundtable sessions where you can meet different film funds, networking and social events. There will also be relevant panels and workshops for the international film industry.

Project criteria:

Full-length cinema feature film

  • Suitable for an international co-production
  • Completed screenplay in English
  • Production budget limits: from 1,5 million Euros (preferably)
  • 30% of the budget already covered (preferably)
  • Company producer must have completed one international co-production

Project submission:

  • Fully completed submission form
  • Treatment (5-8 pages) in English to be e-mailed to: gyda@kino.no

Deadline: 20 June 2017 (NB, extended from the 15th)

In addition to our co-production and finance market, New Nordic Films consists of market screenings and Works in Progress presentations of Nordic films. Last year 420 film professionals attended New Nordic Films from a variety of 30 countries.

All presentations, screenings and seminars will be in English.

New Nordic Films is supported by Creative Media, Nordic Film & TV Fund, Norwegian Film Institute, The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Innovation Norway and Filmkraft Rogaland, and are arranged in close collaboration with the five Nordic film institutes and the international sales agents of the Nordic films.
